It's a challenge for Australia to set fresh records.

The top summits have already been conquered.

This is the unit that has won seven Cricket World Cups, plus another six T20 titles, and once went 1,294 days without defeat in 50-over cricket.

The alternative records, the ones sought by the peak baggers, are all that remain for a team that has accomplished all there is.

That it took up to Sunday's success by three wickets over India for them to achieve their initial ODI chase above 300, regaining their record for the biggest in the women's 50-over format, is, honestly, a tribute to the bowlers that have represented Australia over the past 50 years.

It is hard for their batsmen to possess a record if not afforded the possibility.

Ultimately, the outcome of Australia conceding 330 was captain Alyssa Healy getting an opportunity to deliver her newest gem.

Certain people claim the argument supporting championship match pressure. Others can counter with the test that comes when facing a record target and a loud pro-India audience of 20,000.

She was challenged by India's rising star Kranti Gaud in the previous month's ODI series, fallen to the emerging pace bowler in every game, but on this occasion it simply offered Healy's motivation.

"The possibility to take the field and engage in competition with her and just have a bit of fun in that aspect, sort of got me going," stated Healy.

She got to fifty in 35 pitches - her quickest at the global tournament - and her century in 84 balls as she flogged anything short, hitting 21 fours and three maximums.

By the time she was dismissed her side required another 66 at one run per ball - a manageable total now needing a comfortable finish.

"Pursuing 330 is uncharted waters so I'm happy we have the assurance to accomplish that now," stated Healy further.

"Ideally we won't need to do it again but, if necessary, we are confident we can succeed."

Those words will be the last rival teams at this championship want to hear.

During the last week a feeling they will win from any position has only strengthened - this victory following victory over Pakistan by 107 runs despite sitting at 76-7 at one point.

Following this Australia face Bangladesh before an encounter with old rivals England in Indore in 10 days, by which point a semi-final berth may likely be confirmed.

It was in the semi-finals they left the previous year's T20 World Cup in a shock defeat by South Africa - an encounter Healy couldn't play because of damaged tissue in her foot as she captained her nation for the first time at a major tournament.

Such is her determination, she later said she regretted not playing through the pain.

Yet even as she subsequently acknowledged those injuries have delayed plans to retire, this championship is anticipated as her concluding event as leader in 50-over cricket and she is still to achieve an international tournament as captain.

Success in India would bring her to the top of her final mountain.
